1. What is price comparison shopping?
Price comparison shopping is a free service provided whereby consumers are able to browse the product inventories from a number of online merchants and to compare prices offered on specific products prior to making a purchase. Most price comparison websites - including the Cosmetics Club - do not sell any products themselves. Instead they simply list products sold by online merchants and provide price comparison tools for their users.
2. What is a cashback website?
A Cashback website is a type of rewards website that pays its members a percentage of money earned when they purchase goods and services via their affiliate links. Cashback websites establish relationships with online merchants and receive a commission whey they refer buyers to merchants. When a user makes a purchase on the merchant's website the merchant pays the cashback site a commission. The cashback site then shares the commision it receives with the user.
3. What is the Cosmetics Club?
The Cosmetics Club is website which combines the benefits of price comparison shopping with cashback. Our members are able to browse through the product inventories of their favorite online beauty shops and select the retailer that offers them the best prices on the products they wish to purchase. If a member then goes on to make a purchase cash is paid back the member on some items.
4. Does it cost anything to join?
No, it's free to join. There are no membership costs or fees.
5. How much can I earn?
The Cosmetics Club will pay a percentage of the commission it receives from purchases you make on some of our merchants' websites back to you. The percentage offered will vary from merchant to merchant but will generally amount to at least 3% and as much as 10% of the purchase price of the product - less any value added taxes, customs duties or delivery charges. 6. Do all the merchants on your website offer cashback?
None of the merchants on our website offer cashback that we are aware of. (However, many merchants have their own rewards/discount programs which are similar). Cashback is a service offered by the Cosmetics Club to its members. Cashback is not paid from the merchants to our members directly, it is paid from the Cosmetics Club to members when we receive a commission from some merchants. Therefore please do not request cashback from the merchants directly.
8. Do you offer cashback on purchases from all the merchants on your website?
No. if cashback is offered on purchases from one of our merchants we will publish the details including the amount of cashback offered for each merchant as well as the cookie duration. Details of specific offers are published here.
9. Do you offer cashback on purchases from eBay?
No. Not at this time.
10. What is a cookie and what do I need them for?
11. Are cookies spam or malware or otherwise bad?
No. Cookies are an integral part of web technology and the vast majority of ecommerce sites such as eBay and Amazon wouldn't function without them.
12. Will you share my email address with any third parties?
No. Your email address (and other details) are kept private and are never sold or transferred to any third parties.
13. Do I have to buy anything? What if I just want to browse and do virtual "window shopping"?
That's fine. There are no minimum purchases and there is never any obligation to buy anything. You can window shop as much as you want whenever you want.
14.I already have a loyalty discount with a merchant. Will that be affected in any way?
No. Your existing loyalty discounts will not be affected at all by the cashback you receive from The Cosmetics Club.
15. How do I get paid?
We make payments via Paypal so you must have a valid paypal account for us to be able to pay you. Payment by bank transfer will also be available soon.

17. I don't live in Australia or Denmark or Finland or Germany or Greece or Hong Kong or Ireland or Netherlands or New Zealand or Norway or Singapore or Sweden or Switzerland or United Arab Emirates or United Kingdom or United States. Can I still get cashback?
Not at this time. However there are plans to add more countries soon.
18. Can you guarantee cashback if I buy something?
Unfortunately no. Occasionally merchants' tracking fails and this is beyond our control which means that we can't guarantee payment of cashback on all transactions.
19. How will I know I've got cashback?
We will credit your account when we are notified that you have made a purchase from a merchant for whom we offer cachback. The cashback credit as well as your cashback balance will appear in your control panel. This process can be as quick as 24 hours, however, in other cases depending on the merchant it may take several weeks before the cashback is credited to your account. We always send email alerts to notify you that your account has been credited.
20. What is the "payment threshold"?
The payment threshold is the minimum cachback balance you must accrue in order to qualify for a payment. It is currently set at AUD $25 or GBP £10 or EUR €15 OR DKK kr100.
21. What is the "estimated cashback"?
Sometimes the prices we have stored in our database get out of synch with our affiliated merchants' prices which are listed on their websites. This means that when we list the price of a product - and any cashback payable on it - it will always be an "estimated amount" and may vary from the actual amount you receive. In some cases what you receive may be less than the estimated amount but it's equally likely to be more.
22. Why are the prices on your website sometimes different to or "out of synch" with the prices on the merchant's websites?
The merchants we work with supply us with data feeds containing lists of of the products they sell. The lists contain the names, quantities, descriptions and prices of the products they sell. Sometimes merchants update the prices on their websites before they supply us with an updated price list. This means that the prices we have on file can quickly become out of date. Other merchants sometimes supply us with a product feed in a currency denomination which we need to convert into a local currency for our members who may wish to import products from abroad. When this happens we may use a different exchange rate to the merchant and hence the retail prices quoted will vary slightly. However, you will always know the final price you will end up paying when you jump across to the merchant's website as the prices they quote are the ones you will pay, not those listed on our website (if there is a difference). It is for this reason that we specify "estimated cashback" when we quote a merchant's price as the actual cashback you receive may vary from the estimate.
23. Will you spam me or flood me with "offers" or other junk mail I don't want?
No, we dislike spam as much as you. We have a newsletter but you can unsubscribe from it if you don't wish to receive it.
